Judgement is Coming!

“But let judgment run down as waters and righteousness as a might stream” Amos 5:24 KJV

This morning, in my quiet time, Amos 5:24 popped up on my phone as the scripture of the day, however, when I clicked on the link to read further, the link took me to Psalm 91:2. Some may consider this a technological glitch, but I believe that there was a message in this occurrence.

Amos 5:24 KJV reads, “But let judgment run down as waters and righteousness as a mighty  stream.”

While Psalm 91:2 reads, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God, in Him will I trust.”

Upon reading these scriptures, the Lord dropped into my spirit 3 strong words: Judgement is Coming!!

In today’s society where we have all witnessed the failure of our justice system, God is saying that He has the final say and that He will begin to bring judgement to the land. In addition to bringing judgement, He will also be bringing forth His righteousness in a mighty way. 

The definition of righteousness is being morally right and/or justifiable, a definition that our justice system does not meet! I believe that we will begin to see a great shake-up in this country as God begins to turn the hearts of the people towards Him, breaking down faulty systems and replacing them with systems of justice designed by Him and led by people with a heart for Christ. 

In this hour, I encourage you to not only look at the unjust behaviors or actions of others, but to turn your eyes to your own sins with a heart of repentance. Although God will judge each and every one of us, we do not want to get caught up in the judgement of the world.

As this shift in worldly systems take place, we will begin to see unimaginable changes – some of which may cause us to question the move of God in this hour, but know that He is in the midst of it all. 

I believe He showed me the second scripture in psalms to let us know that all though things may look bad for a while, He will continue to protect us if only we put our trust in Him. For in Him is our hiding place, our refuge from what is going on in the world but we must seek Him and move according to His plan.
